An improvisation octet specializing in dramatic improv and comprised of seasoned stage thespians (not comedians). Their performance is not intended to be funny, and as such, the audience is severely discouraged from laughing at any time during their performance, lest they desire scolding. They guarantee at least one audience member will be moved to tears by their earnest, gritty stage portrayals. We're from Evanston, Illinois, representing the Fay Adler Repertory Theatre (FART). We have performed in venues great and small around the world, from the Royal Albert Hall in London, to a rented charter bus full of vacationing Minnesotans. Each of our performers has been Obie-nominated (though never winning) for the same role of Norma Desmond from the hit play Sunset Blvd. Margo Jefferson of the New York Times once described us as "gravely serious".
